Carol Dickerman is the new Director of International Study Programs.  She comes to the ACM from the University of Michigan, where she was Director of the Office of International Programs in the College of Literature, Science and Arts.   Prior to that, she was Assistant Director at the Land Tenure Center at the University of Wisconsin.

Her academic training is in the field of African history, and she has lived abroad in Africa, Latin America, the United Kingdom, and Japan.   She did her undergraduate education at Middlebury College, and was a Peace Corps volunteer in Ethiopia, where she taught English as a Second Language.
