Missions, Majors, and Liberal Education: A Conference on Assessing Student Learning in the ACM
Conference Goals:
- To share the products of Teagle-funded assessment efforts in the ACM;
- To apply these assessment strategies developed by the ACM-Teagle projects to the measurement of the value added by liberal arts education;
- To demonstrate how learning in the major can enhance achievement of all college goals;
- To provide an opportunity to continue discussions started at the Lake Forest FaCE Assessment meeting.
The conference will include:
- Keynote speaker: W. Robert Connor, President, Teagle Foundation
- Presentations by all ACM Teagle Assessment workgroups
- Opportunities to network, build collaborations
- Disciplinary and interdisciplinary breakout groups
- Poster presentations
Who should attend:
- ACM faculty and administrators interested in measuring the value added by a liberal arts education.
Grant funding will cover all expenses for three individuals from each ACM institution.
