House of Love
While studying abroad in Chiang Mai, Thailand, I had the opportunity to volunteer at an orphanage with kids ranging in ages from 6-18. We spent most of our evenings working on homework, preparing meals, and helping with bed time.

At House of Love, I was able to experience a part of the culture outside the busy city and form relationships with the kids. They taught me their games and helped me with my pronunciation. I helped them with homework and wiped their tears when they cried.
My most important lesson in Asia came from the children and their ability to teach me the importance of human compassion.
