Hometown: Manhattan, Kansas
Majors: Sociology/Anthropology, Ethnic Studies
Activities: Student Senate, Resident Assistant, Lambda Alpha, Mortar Board, Performing Arts & Activities Council
Interests: Reading, Hiking, & Eating: the trifecta of happiness
Why I chose the fall ACM Costa Rica program: I decided I really needed to work on the "second language" thing, especially since we live in a bilingual (if not sometimes trilingual world). Also, getting out and experiencing a different culture appealed to my anthropological sensitivities. In other words, I like to try new things.
What I'm most excited about: I'm really just ready for a chance to explore an area I've never been to before. I'm excited to meet new people and learn a new language. I'm also excited for a semester away from nagging cell phone calls and a chance at a different lifestyle pace.
