Chicago Program webinar: The Case for Reparations
November 16, 2016 @ 12:00 pm - 3:00 pm CST
Dorothy Burge
The ACM Chicago Program invites students and faculty to tune in as Chicago Program Director Dorothy Burge brings students into a greater understanding of the human rights issues facing Chicago and other American cities.
Dorothy’s activism around the case for reparations for survivors of police torture in Chicago can be used as a case study for students engaging with racial justice, the criminal justice system, classism, segregation, and the many other complications that confront activists on college campuses and beyond.
There will also be a question and answer session for students interested in the ACM Chicago Program: Arts, Entrepreneurship, & Social Justice.
