ACM Consortial Groups and Listservs

ACM operates over 50 listservs and coordinates the activities of over 20 consortial groups that meet regularly—either bi-weekly, monthly, bi-monthly, quarterly, or annually. Below is a listing of staff/administration and faculty listservs. An asterisk(*) notes that the group meets regularly.

Groups share best practices, ask others for advice, discuss current topics of interest in their field, and use the group as a sounding board for ideas, resources, and community. Information on these groups can be found here.

If you would like to be added to a list, please contact the relevant ACM Staff Contact. Please see below for contact information and details on how to use an ACM listserv.

How to use an ACM listserv

To send a message to your consortial group, use the email address that was provided to you directly. Your message will be automatically distributed to the entire group. Please keep in mind:

  • Only people registered to the listserv can post to it, and only using their college email address. If you try to email from your personal email or even a second institutional address, the message will not be delivered. If you have a second institutional address that you would like added to the listserv, please let us know.
  • The listserv cannot be “bcc’d.” In order for messages to be delivered, the email address must be in the “to” or “cc” line of an email.
  • When you reply to a listserv message, your reply goes to the individual. To respond to the entire group, please select “reply all.”
  • Embedded images and some HTML formatting do not travel very well through the listserv; you will have more success with plain text.
  • If you would like to be removed from the list, please email [email protected] and include the name of the list you want to be removed from.
