The Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) is pleased to announce the appointment of Dr. Lynn Murray-Chandler as its new Vice President for Programs and Professional Development, effective August 5, 2025.
Dr. Murray-Chandler brings over two decades of leadership experience in liberal arts education, institutional effectiveness, and faculty and staff development. Most recently, she served as Assistant Provost and Executive Director of the Center for Excellence in Teaching, Assessment, and Learning at Clark University, where she led strategic efforts to enhance student learning, improve institutional assessment practices, and support inclusive teaching.
As Vice President at ACM, Dr. Murray-Chandler will lead the design and implementation of collaborative initiatives that strengthen the 14 ACM member institutions and advance their shared commitment to excellence in liberal arts education. Reporting to ACM President Dr. Lisa Jasinski, she will oversee a broad portfolio of professional development programs, grant-funded projects, and multi-campus collaborations to promote student success and institutional innovation.
“We are thrilled to welcome Lynn to ACM,” said Dr. Jasinski. “She brings deep experience leading the very kinds of initiatives our campuses are prioritizing—retention, pedagogical innovation, and building cross-functional teams to address complex challenges. Her collaborative spirit, demonstrated grant leadership, and commitment to inclusive excellence make her the right person to bring ACM’s new strategic framework to life.”
Dr. Murray-Chandler has served in senior leadership roles at Southern New Hampshire University and Franklin Pierce University, where she founded centers for project-based learning, led student success initiatives, and secured nearly $2 million in external grant funding. A graduate of the HERS Leadership Institute, she has designed and facilitated leadership development programs for faculty and staff. She will play a key role in advancing ACM’s Mellon Faculty Leadership Fellows Program and other emerging initiatives, including a suite of professional development programs for staff on ACM campuses.
“It is an honor and privilege to work with a wide range of liberal arts institutions who are each committed to providing the very best educational experiences for the students they serve. I am incredibly excited to collaborate with colleagues across these institutions under the transformational leadership of the fabulous team at the Associated Colleges of the Midwest,” said Murray-Chandler.
The ACM community looks forward to working with Dr. Murray-Chandler to build on the consortium’s near seventy-year tradition of collaboration and innovation in liberal education.
