What is ACM?

For more than 65 years, the Associated Colleges of the Midwest (ACM) has supported collaboration, learning, knowledge-sharing, and innovation across fourteen exceptional residential liberal arts colleges in five states. Learn more about ACM’s mission and strategic plan here.

What are the benefits of ACM membership?

If your college is a member of the ACM, faculty and staff automatically have access to programs and services, including:

  • Networking: Connect with and learn from ACM peers in-person and online.
  • Professional Development: Participate in ACM fellowship programs, workshops, and webinars to advance and learn.
  • Grant-Funded Initiatives: External support allows ACM to fund innovation and collaboration across member campuses.
  • Information Sharing: Listservs, consortial groups, and professional development programming allow you to stay in the know.
  • Tuition Remission Exchange Program for dependents of eligible employees: Contact your campus HR office for additional information.
  • Benefits for Your Students: ACM supports your undergraduates in their learning and development.
  • Data Gathering and Sharing: ACM collects and shares data to inform benchmarking and campus operations.

What can you expect from ACM?

While collaborations look different depending on the audience and the goals, ACM seeks to:

  • Address timely topics and shared challenges.
  • Make stakeholder participation easy.
  • Create the ideal conditions for peer support, community, and celebration.
  • Provide practical strategies and actionable tools.
  • Broaden perspectives to see beyond daily work.
  • Ensure that participants leave conversation feeling renewed.
