“This photo was taken during our trip to Venice, from the bridge Ponte Dell’Academia, on the Grand Canal. In the foreground is the Palazzo Caualli Franchetti, and in the background the two domes and belltowers of Santa Maria Della Salute tower over the other buildings. The photo shows the clash of the old and the new, with the modern motorboat and traditional gondola, as well as the crane and the older buildings.”
