Another Burge Sits In at Trial of Commander

As Internship Coordinator & Faculty at the ACM Urban Studies program, Dorothy Burge teaches seminars about criminal justice and racism. She has attended the trial of Jon Burge (the two are not related), a former Chicago police commander who is accused of lying about acts of alleged police torture and is charged with perjury. Since the 1990s, Ms. Burge has been involved in public-awareness campaigns about the Jon Burge case.
