“As part of my internship at The Chicago Weaving School, I got the opportunity to go to the Carole Robertson Center for Learning in North Lawndale to give a demonstration on weaving. One of the teachers, who is doing Teach for America, asked if I would come in and enhance the preschool’s Fabric unit. I bought a rigid-heddle loom and some samples of hand-woven cloth to show the class. Preschoolers sure are an eager bunch!”
