ACM Stages Trip for Faculty to Visit Program in London

All the world’s a stage, and ACM will cover round-trip airfare for faculty to see what’s happening in part of it — London!

The next faculty site visit will take a group of five ACM college faculty to visit one half of the London & Florence: Arts in Context program. Theatre, museum studies, and exploring historic sites throughout London and in places such as Stratford-upon-Avon are star attractions of the program, so a bit of Shakespeare just might be on the site visit itinerary.

The London site visit, on April 30 – May 4, 2017, will include an inside view of all aspects of the program. Faculty will join the students in their classes and excursions, see the program facilities, and meet with students, ACM Visiting Faculty Director Nancy Barry from Luther College, and other program staff and instructors.

Apply to participate in the London faculty site visit!

Deadline to apply: December 16, 2016

As part of their visit, each of the ACM faculty will present a guest lecture, workshop, or master class that is relevant to the location in London and contributes to the program’s curriculum.

The Faculty Site Visits Program is designed to facilitate professional development, particularly for faculty to make contacts at program sites and engage with ACM off-campus programs.

Each semester, the ACM sponsors a trip to one of the consortial program sites, which include Chicago, Botswana, Tanzania, Brazil, Costa Rica, China, India, Jordan, the Netherlands, Italy, and the U.K.

Faculty at ACM colleges who are tenured, tenure-track, or in other continuing appointments may apply for the program. ACM covers expenses for transportation, lodging, and meals during the site visit.

See the London site visit call for participants for details. The application deadline is December 16, 2016.
