Scenes of everyday life, the people they’ve met, moments of insight and beauty — the photos students bring back when they study away tell stories about their experiences engaging with another place and culture.
The annual ACM Off-Campus Study Photo Contest is an opportunity for students to share their photos and experiences. Now it’s your chance to get involved by picking your favorite images in this year’s contest!
Vote for your favorites in the ACM Off-Campus Study Photo Contest!
Go to the ACM Facebook page to browse through 76 photos submitted by students who participated in ACM study away programs in 2016. Cast your “likes” for as many or as few photos as you choose.
The photo with the most votes will receive the Fans’ Choice Award and a cash prize of $100. Online voting is open until noon on Wednesday, March 1.
In addition to the Fans’ Choice voting, a panel of judges will award prizes ranging from $100 to $350 for the top four photos in this year’s competition. In making their selections, the judges look for creative, artistic, and thoughtfully-composed photos that transcend a typical tourist shot and indicate cross-cultural learning by students.
Now in its ninth year, the photo contest honors the ACM colleges’ strong commitment to off-campus study, as well as a tradition of consortial study away programs around the world that stretches back more than half a century.
