“A couple weeks into the semester, one of the Tanzanian University students who we had befriended offered to take us to visit an orphanage. Walking through the streets, we came upon a group of children who dropped everything they were doing when they saw us to run up, hold our hands, and say hello. Their excitement and pure happiness was absolutely infectious, and is still one of my favorite moments from the semester.”
