“This photo was taken right by the Tarangire Park entrance, where I did my field project (bird observations). Since the birds were mostly active early in the morning, I’d wake up in the dark and walk to the park, usually arriving just as the sun was rising. These were some of my favorite times in Tanzania, and some of the most special moments of my life.”
