The Grinnell College women’s team and the Carleton College men’s team won the team competitions in the inaugural ACM Invitational Indoor Track & Field meet at Grinnell on February 2. Coe College and Knox College joined Grinnell in fielding both women’s and men’s teams to round out the field.
Coe took second and Knox third in the women’s meet. On the men’s side, Grinnell placed second, followed by Coe and Knox. Complete results for the women’s and men’s competitions are on the Grinnell website.
The athletic directors of the 14 ACM colleges have been working together to schedule events that bring ACM athletes together, particularly giving colleges in different athletic conferences opportunities to compete with each other. Previous invitationals have been held in cross country, women’s golf, and soccer. Luther College will host an ACM Invitational in volleyball this fall.
