Why wait for the election in November to support your favorites? The field of candidates in the annual ACM Photo Contest is set and now is the time for you, the voters, to decide.
The 2015-16 contest showcases a total of 92 images taken by 34 students who participated in ACM off-campus study programs in 2015.
Voting has begun to select the winner of this year’s Fans’ Choice Award. Go to the ACM Facebook page to browse through all the entries and “like” all your favorites. The student whose photo receives the most likes by the time the polling closes at noon on Monday, March 7, will take home the $100 cash prize for Fans’ Choice.
Contest entries were submitted by students who studied in Costa Rica, Italy, Jordan, China, Botswana, Tanzania, Japan, the U.K., and the U.S.
The subjects they captured in their photos range from scenes of rural life and beautiful countryside in Costa Rica to striking views of wildlife in Tanzania to the “seductive rhythm” of narrow streets and sidewalk cafes in Italy.
In addition to the Fans’ Choice Award, a panel of judges will select four prize-winning photos, with first place receiving a $350 prize.
The ACM Off-Campus Study Photo Contest reflects the member colleges’ commitment to off-campus study and more than 50 years of collaboration in offering international and domestic programs for students.
