Taken on the Costa Rica: Community Engagement in Public Health, Education, & the Environment program
One of the perks of the Costa Rica fall program is that we were able to take a trip to Nicaragua during the semester. On one afternoon, we had the opportunity to go to the Masaya Volcano National Park. We were running a bit behind schedule, but we convinced our director to let us stay longer and hike up to the rim of the caldera. This was the happiest I’d seen people in our group the whole semester. The view from the top was unbelievable. Everyone was just in awe of this natural wonder — a true highlight of the trip.
