Alizé McClure

Coe College, English and creative writing

GSEF Fellow, Cohort 2

“My legacy will be the everlasting impact I’ve made on those I’ve come across, whether it be verbally or through words on a page.”

How would you describe yourself in a few sentences?

I am a creative writing and English major. Next to writing, sleep is the most important thing in my life. And, fun fact, my favorite article of clothing is head gear.

If you had to teach someone one thing, what would you teach them?

If I had to teach someone one thing it would be how to be empathetic.

What’s the best advice someone has given to you?

The best piece of advice I’ve ever received was from my 2nd grade teacher when she told me, “Become a writer so you can make up words,” much like Dr. Seuss.

What will your legacy be?

My legacy will be the everlasting impact I’ve made on those I’ve come across, whether it be verbally or through words on a page.
