ACM: Do you have plans after graduation?
Lohmann: After graduation, I plan to teach abroad in South Korea for a year before attending graduate school. I’ll be pursuing a master’s degree in literary translation.
ACM: What sparked your interest in writing, and how did you get started writing fiction?
Lohmann: I’ve been writing stories for as long as I can remember. I have books with drawings and little stories in them from as far back as preschool. I only started considering it seriously as a career path in high school, though.
ACM: How have you developed your writing while you’ve been at Knox?
Lohmann: My writing has become much more focused since attending Knox. I’ve discovered the stories I want to tell, and I’ve acquired the tools I need to tell them the way I’d like to. I’m incredibly thankful for all of the writing I’ve been exposed to in my courses, and I’ll carry what I’ve learned with me forever through my work.
