Two Monmouth College students prepare for their student teaching experience in the Spring 2012 Urban Education program. Both students will be teaching at Andrew Jackson Language Academy, a magnet school in the Chicago Public School system, located near the University of Illinois at Chicago.  Kathleen “Katie” Murtagh (left) will be teaching 7th-8th grade social studies, while Amanda Lopez (right) will be in a 3rd grade elementary classroom.
